Junior High School

PHILOSOPHY

Goals and Objectives

Calvary Christian Junior High School provides high quality academics plus opportunities in athletics, music, drama, other extra-curricular activities. All of these take place in a safe, protective environment necessary to enrich and enhance your child’s social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development. Our school offers each student the attention and personalized care required to encourage and promote the healthy development of self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-confidence. Calvary Christian Junior High School is staffed with caring, qualified professionals who understand and recognize the needs of each individual student. Our standard of excellence assures you of consistent quality with regard to conscientious care, teaching, and safety. We are committed to making your child’s junior high school years as informative, successful and enjoyable as possible.

At Calvary Christian Junior High School, we are dedicated to instilling within each student the love of the Bible and its principles and to apply those principles to everyday life.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old
he shall not depart from it.”

-Proverbs 22:6

In keeping with this profound Biblical principle, we are dedicated to providing each of our young students with:

• Opportunities to develop Christian Character
• Daily Prayer and Bible Study
• Weekly Chapel Services
• Worship and Serving God
• Spiritual Growth and Leadership
• Logical Thinking Skills

ACADEMICS

Our junior high program is geared towards making sure each student reaches their potential. Every core subject provides individualized attention and ensures each student to master each subject.

Students who have had several years of Christian school have no difficulty being accepted in colleges. College registrars are interested in the academic merits and personal qualities of individual students, and not in the name of their high school.

The instructional program of Calvary Christian School is designed and implemented to properly train students who wish to continue their education beyond high school. The program also prepares students to begin careers with a greater competence.

Report cards are issued four times during the school year, with a parent-teacher conference scheduled if necessary. Parents are encouraged to schedule conference with teachers so that they are always aware of the progress of their children.
